Contact
We'd love to hear from you — whether you spotted a typo, have a feature idea, or want to share how your kana study is going.
The fastest way to reach us is by email:
We typically respond within 3 working days. If you don't hear back within a week, check your spam folder or resend — occasionally messages slip through.
What to write about
- Bug reports. Tell us what you tried, what you expected, and what actually happened. If you can, include your browser and whether you're on desktop or mobile. Screenshots are gold.
- Content corrections. Spotted a wrong stroke order, a bad romaji, or a word we've mistranslated? Please let us know. Learning materials need to be accurate, and we take corrections seriously.
- Feature requests. What would make your kana study easier? A new drill mode, a different progression system, a font you'd like to see supported — send it our way. We can't build everything, but we read every suggestion.
- Classroom use. If you're a teacher using KanaFluency with students, drop us a line. We love hearing how the app is being used and are happy to support educators where we can.
- Press, partnerships, or licensing. Email us with details. KanaFluency is designed to stay free for learners, but we're open to collaborations that support that mission.
Privacy when you contact us
When you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use that only to reply and, if the message is a bug report or correction, to track the fix. We don't add you to a mailing list, sell your address, or share it with third parties. If you ask us to delete your message after we've resolved it, we will. More in our privacy policy.
Before you write
A surprising number of "my progress is gone" reports turn out to be browser data being cleared (private windows, an aggressive tracker-blocker, or a fresh reinstall). Before you email, check the settings page — if the Export backup button is empty, your localStorage was wiped. There's not much we can recover from a local-only app, but the Import backup flow lets you restore a previously exported file. Going forward, export a backup every couple of weeks.
